Myth Of The Human Body

Sa paanyaya ng lady curator ng Myth Of The Human Body Museum na si Mam Rosse Gamban , ay nakapunta kami ng kaibigang si Rommel sa kanilang exhibit site in Boom Na Boom Grounds at the CCP Complex Roxas Boulevard Manila.

350.00 ang entrance fee both for the adults and children alike.

It has 8 divisions that depicts the 8 systems of the human body namely The Muscular System , Skeletal System , Respiratory System , Digestive System , Circulatory System, Nervous System , Reproductive System , and the Fetal System.

Each has its own unique centerpiece of a real human anatomy model like  The Runner , The Discus Thrower and their masterpiece which is The Red Man.

According to Mam Rosse , this travelling exhibition started here in The Philippines in 2011 at a site in  Fort Bonifacio Global Center.

For this year it is now located at the Boom Na Boom Complex and started just this month of July  and will commence until the next year 2015.

It is open on Tuesday to Sunday from 10 in the morning until 8 in the evening.

Mam Rosse said they have , at the time of our visit ,  7 in-house tour guides that will explain and teach us all about the exhibit and several facts about our human body.

And luckily for us we have Mel as our tour guide who is a good host.

He was able to deliver and give us firsthand information about the exhibition and more interesting facts about our human bodies.

Like what my friend said , the tour was very informative , educational , thrilling and exciting all at the same time.

We have learn many interesting facts about our own body and marveled at the wonderfulness and complexities  of the work of God in our body system.

We did understand how our body works and where the internal organs are located inside our body.

Mam Rosse said that all of this was made possible by the technology of Plastination which was invented by Gunther Von Hagens who hails from Poland.

The process of Plastination , as how Wikipedia puts it , is a technique or process used in anatomy to preserve bodies or body parts, first developed by Gunther von Hagens in 1977. The water and fat are replaced by certain plastics, yielding specimens that can be touched, do not smell or decay, and even retain most properties of the original sample.

Clearly, it was started by Gunther von Hagens 37 years ago and that is why he is regarded as the Father of Plastination.
