Secret Garden of Doris

And my curiosity became very intense that I have researched about it on the internet.

And I found out that its owner is Doris Lee and immediately contacted her.

I have asks her if I could come with some of my fellow bloggers and visit her Secret Garden .

She obliged.

And on July 12 we visited her garden with my co-bloggers from PBO Ms. Melanie of  Todo Sa Bongga and Zai Salonga of Zai Moonchild

Nadatnan namin siya na nakaupo sa gitna ng kaniyang hardin , so regale and queenly in her simple afternoon attire :)

She is indeed the queen of her garden.

We introduced ourselves and she introduced herself as well as her husband Architect Ansan Lee.

It consists of several leaves of some plants na pinaghalu-halo niya upang maging isang drink na tunay na nakapagpapasigla , hence the name.

Truly enough , after sipping some of it , we felt relaxed and more envigorated : )

Nandiyan din ang suman na gawa from her own garden and mangoes na imported from Thailand pa.

The Antipolo property , which is 1.7 hectares all ,  came in 2007 and they developed it again to become one of the landmark garden in this side of the urban landscape.

Sabi ni Mam Doris , she was named after the American actress Doris Day na paborito daw ng kaniyang ina.

It is because she believes in good karma , which says that you will reap what you sow.

Kapag may gustong bumili ng kanilang mga tanim na halaman, she sees to it na aalagaan ito ng bagong magmamay-ari ng halaman dahil , ikanga niya " why plant if you're going to forget or just neglect it "

O di ba naman , coming from the real authority and master of plant gardening herself.

Very pleasant and warm din si Mam Doris sa kaniyang pakikitungo sa amin which truly evokes her philosophy of nature loving and environment caring.

All the while ay walang tigil kami sa tawanan at halakhakan habang nananatili kami sa kaniyang sikretong hardin, so to speak , na ngayon ay hindi na sikreto dahil nadiskubre na namin ang kaniyang  mga lihim he he he.

It was nice knowing na mayruong mga tao na nagpapahalaga at nagmamahal sa kanilang kapaligiran at sa mga puno at halaman in which I myself embrace too.

Marami na din ngang mga personalities ang patuloy na nakakadiskubre ng hardin ni Mam Doris like Ms. Armida Siguion Reyna , Arnell Ignacio and GMA media mogul Jessica Soho.

And everyday more and more new and old alike visitors continue to flock in her garden to see and appreciate her collection of exotic arrays of plants, herbs and trees.

If you want , they also offer for rent the whole place or just a part of it for any event if you want to commune with nature at the same time.

Mam Doris tells us that it is between 3K to 5K for an event taking place in one whole day inclusive of foods.

They also offer bed and breakfast deals.

For more information , just visit their website here : Secret Garden of Doris

Or better yet , you can contact Mam Doris directly at her landline phone number 219 3900.

Truly indeed we have found a fountain of youth in her garden because it keeps them healthy and more young looking than others their age.

And also a mine of gold because all the plants and trees in the garden area wealthy and prized possessions.

We want to thank Mam Doris and her husband Architect Lee for nicely accommodating us through the whole process of meeting and interviewing them.

It is nice to meet these kind of people that they are who cares for our environment so passionately.

Just keep up the good work at bahala na si Lord at ang kaniyang si Mother Nature na magbalik ng mga pagpapala sa inyong buhay.

God bless us all !
