Happy Birthday Father

Today is the birthday of my Father dear.

The person that I would not forget for the rest of my life.

He had shaped my personality the way I am now.

Kung ano ako ngayon, iyon ay dahil kay Father.

Admittedly, I am never that close to my Father.

There are even several times that we were almost strange from each other.

Na parang hindi kami magkakilala at mag-ama.

But then, time changes everything.

I've come to know of myself more because of him.

He's not perfect , yes.

But then , who is?

I am also not.

I guess we only share one thing in common.

And that's the love for our own family , no matter what.

I will never understand my father.

And he will never understand me , either.

I have come to accept that fact a long , long time ago.

I guess , that's just the way it is.

The fact is , he's still my father.

And I am his son?

Ahh, Father dear , Happy Happy Birthday!!!!

You're 67 now!!!

How time flies!!!

I still recall when I was young and have followed and obeyed all your rules!!!

But now that I have a mind of my own , I've totally disobeyed you now he he he he....

"That's just the way it is.....

Some things will never change

That's just the way it is......

Ahh, but don't you believe them.."

THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT IS - BRUCE HORNSBY AND THE RANGE

Standing in line marking time, waiting for the welfare dime
'Cause they can't buy a job
The man in the silk suit hurries by as he catches the poor ladies' eyes
Just for fun he says "get a job"

chorus
That's just the way it is
Some things will never change
That's just the way it is
Ah, but don't you believe them

They say hey little boy you can't go where the others go
'Cause you don't look like they do
Said hey old man how can you stand to think that way
Did you really think about it before you made the rules
He said, Son

chorus
That's just the way it is
Some things will never change
That's just the way it is
Ah, but don't you believe them

solo

Well they passed a law in '64 to give those who ain't got a little more
But it only goes so far
Because the law don't change another's mind when all it sees at the hiring time
Is the line on the color bar

chorus

That's just the way it is
Some things will never change
That's just the way it is
Ah, but don't you believe them
